Ancient remains may belong to the lost continent described by Colonel James Chruchward who deciphered ancient Naacal tablets. Here are some of his notable discoveries
The Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) readings include Atlantis and Mu. Mr. Cayce referenced Mu as Lemuria. It is more widely publicized as Lemuria by the new age community. Cayce did worldwide readings on a daily basis. He was able to diagnose diseases and cures yet had no medical background.
Colonel James Churchward (1851-1936) served in the British Army for 30 years. He was befriended by an old Rishi while stationed in India. The Rishi introduced Churchward to the Naacal Tablets that described the ancient civilization of Mu.
Churchward also deciphered the Niven Tablets discovered in Mexico by David Niven. Churchward believed they were connected to "motherland Mu."
According to the Colonel, Mu preceded the present day by 200,000 years. Mu went down in the Pacific off the current coastline of California for the second time 12,000 years ago.
Mu stretched from north of Hawaii down toward the south extending in a line between the Fijis and Easter Island forming the southern boundary. It extended 5000 miles from east to west, 3000 miles north to south. The vast emptiness in the middle of Pacific, dotted by groups of islands Churchward claimed is the final resting place of Mu.
He describes the inhabitants in "The Children Of Mu" as, tall, stately in stature with pleasing faces dominated by red and blonde haired people. The skin colors were black, red, yellow and white.
Churchward claimed the first symbol deciphered referenced space but he believed it meant God.
In his series of books he reiterates the continent was primarily tropical with lush valleys and plains. Fragrant, huge flowers, streams, rivers and lakes were plentiful. Book titles are:
The Colonel claimed Atlantis and Egypt were but two of Mu’s colonies. A great deal of citizens were in both Atlantis and Egypt when Mu sunk. Others somehow escaped eminent destruction and migrated to the United States.
Churchward was never given credit for his work because it lacked bibliographies. One question remains, how did the 9,500 year old Kennewick Man come to rest in the Pacific Northwest. Likewise, the Nevada Mummy, 7,420 years old.
He also said that when Mu sunk the body of water covering the United States emptied off the present coast of California into the Pacific.
